Solids are initially separated by cyclone separator mounted on top of tank. Solids accumulate and further separate in the storage tank while the small amount of separated liquid from the cyclone separator and tank is recycled back into the CPI's.

Leak Detection Unit provides temperature & pressure compensated records of crude emulsion flow received production sources. In addition, the system provides an automatic & continuous sampling of the crude stream for subsequent laboratory analysis. The system consists of three identical trains, each sized 50% of the total capacity. The unit is capable of handling a 20" crude emulsion pipeline and up to 25,000 bpd of crude emulsion.
